The Happiness Machine

This project was part of Arts Out East festival. Sponsored by Creative Communities NZ

The Happiness Machine is an installation where the spectators enter into two stages. The
first one is where they will find a list of questions to think about the meaning of happiness as
a human being. This list will be the trigger to help inner reflexion in order to write each owns,
personal thoughts and ideas about happiness that will be written down in a piece of paper
together with a draw of a happy face in a yellow sticker.
The second stage will consist of placing the “happiness piece of paper” with the happy face
in a wall where all the other ideas can be seen.
At the end they will find an explanation that happiness is made out of sharing our life and
thoughts with others. That is the real transformation and why the machine works.
